I would like to introduce myself...hannah selznick, English horn player and oboist for the Musica Nova Symphony and Baroque Orchestras of the Greater Phoenix area. I am also the past Principal oboist of the Scottsdale Symphony; SSO business manager for 3 years and also the past oboist/English hornist with the Mesa Symphony. I also served as the MSO business manager for two years. I have over forty-three years experience as an oboe and English horn player, instructor and free-lance performer. I earned a B.S. Degree in Music Education from the Univ. of Missouri, and my Master's in Oboe Performance Degree from Tulsa Univ.
I purchase new and used Loree, Laubin, Fox, Yamaha and Covey oboes and English horns. I also carry a number of student level oboes which will support the success of young musicians. I am looking for clients who want to upgrade to a fine professional quality instrument, at below market prices.
This philosophy arose many years ago when I started on a plastic Linton oboe. This oboe lacked many of the standard keys and was in ill repair. Needless to say, my experience was not favorable, and it is amazing I stuck it out to major in music. It took my mom 5 years to be able to buy me my first Loree back in 1969.
My mission is to supply wonderful oboes and English horns to aspiring players so their experiences will be positive.
I guarantee my instruments to be in ready- to-play condition and top quality. Instruments are available for a one week trial. I ship only by Fed Ex insured . The prospective buyer pays for the outbound as well as for any returned instruments.
I ship either overnight or two day air Fed Ex. (ground transportation is not good
for the instruments) Also, no sales tax charged on out of state purchases. :)
